Free Musical Intervals Worksheet for Kids (Fiesta Theme)

I've created a ton of music theory worksheets for my site, MakingMusicFun.net, and coming up with new ideas is sometimes tricky. The inspiration for this worksheet came in the mail. It was a toy for our dog Chester. Actually, what he got was a plush taco with a funny face on it. I started with a design for taco character, but then decided on a cactus as the main character. These worksheets took the better part of the day to put together, but I like the results and hope the music teachers and students that visit MakingMusicFun.net will enjoy them.

There are a lot of worksheets out there for kids that use clip art to make them kid-friendly, but the theme it's carried throughout the worksheet. To make the worksheet a "fiesta" from top to bottom I used maracas in the connect-the-dot matching section.

Website Design | Electronimo Joe

I did some designing over the weekend for the ElectronimoJoe.com website that will feature electronics projects for kids. The name of the site and the dog logo idea came from the Jetson's cartoon that introduced a dog just before Astro, named Electronimo. The Jetson's Electronimo looked a bit like a doberman with a hinged jaw. I went for a little funnier vibe with this dog. I also couldn't resist including a kid with a laser beam that he built. It cracks me up. I hope it's a big hit for the site owner.

I created this avatar and designed a simple site for LollipopiPadAppsforKids.com. Eyes and expressions are always a challenge, though so rewarding when things finally click.

Funny Frog | Digital Illustration

Here's a character that I created for FrugalCard.com. This little project took me nine hours, which included a few moments where I just wanted to give up. I stuck it out, finishing around 1AM, and created something that I really like. I hope you do too.

Tropical Birdies | Digital Illustration

I'm giving the Illustrator/Photoshop thing another go. I sketched the bird on a plane trip back from South Carolina, and later took it to color.

The images was created with flat color first in Adobe Illustrator. In Photoshop I added highlights and shadow with a brush and the smudge tool.

Santa with Pack | Pastel

Santa didn't have much time to pose for me, so I hope I captured his likeness to your liking. This one is a project for mom. Her house is full of Santa's all year long.

Princess | Pencil Sketch

  Disney recently created a series of collectable princess dolls that my wife got pretty excited about. Steve Thompson (Disney Store designer/artist) created some amazing watercolor illustrations for the box.
